Kristin is an Associate Professor at the School of Psychological Science at UWA, where she directs the Emotional Wellbeing Lab. Her research focuses on how emotional processes and our responses to them relate to depression, anxiety, and wellbeing, and much of her recent research incorporates emotion regulation, mindfulness, and psychophysiology in daily life. Kristin also maintains a small private practice and serves as a clinical supervisor for clinical psychology students. Kristin’s research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Australian Research Council, and she has received several international early career awards. She was a Chair of the WA AACBT branch in the past, and has also chaired the Early Career Committee for several AACBT conferences. Kristin is also active as a reviewer and editor, serving as an Associate Editor for American Psychologist, Psychological Assessment, and Emotion.
Kristin began with the Branch Committee in 2021 and became Branch Chair in 2022. Her term concluded in Oct 2023 and she remains on the committee.
