Carolina Gonzalez, B.Sc., MMH, PhD (Psychology) is a lecturer at the University of Southern Queensland. She also holds an honorary appointment as a Research Fellow at the University of Queensland. Her areas of research are parenting, mental health, and trauma. She has presented her research at numerous national and international academic events.
Carolina is also a Clinical Psychologist working in private practice. She has previously worked in mental health settings, domestic violence, and child and family services.
She is also a Board Member (Director) of the Asociación Chilena de Estrés Traumático, ACET [Chilean Association of Traumatic Stress]. She is a committee member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS)'s Brisbane Area Branch. She is a member of the Clinical Psychology Task Force of the Interamerican Society of Psychology, leading the creation of the Suicide Prevention Working Group. She is also a member of the Child Trauma Network of the Global Collaboration on Traumatic Stress.
Carolina joined the National Board in 2021.
