Scientific Convenor – National Conference 2020-2021
Professor Peter McEvoy is a senior clinical psychologist at the Centre for Clinical Interventions (CCI), and is a teaching and research academic at the School of Psychology, Curtin University. Peter previously worked as a clinical psychologist at the Anxiety Disorders Clinic, St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. Peter’s clinical and research interests are broad and include anxiety disorders, transdiagnostic approaches to conceptualising and treating emotional disorders, the use of imagery in psychotherapy, eating disorders, and mechanisms of behavioural and cognitive change. He has published over 100 peer reviewed journal articles, and recently co-authored a book on the use of imagery in CBT. Peter has taught adult psychopathology and psychotherapy in the master of clinical psychology program at Curtin University since 2014, and is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Anxiety Disorders.
