This approx. 1hr CBT@Home webinar was recorded in July 2020.
There are many mobile apps available that can enhance CBT with a practitioner, or that use CBT principles in their design. However, it can be difficult to choose from the range of apps.
This presentation will focus on some the apps currently available on the app store that can be easily utilised by CBT practitioners. For example, exercise and fitness apps can be used to enhance behavioural activation, mood tracking apps can be used in behavioural experiments and monitoring, and thought recording apps can be used for cognitive restructuring.
David will present a tour of these select apps and how to use them practically in sessions (telehealth and face-to-face) with clients. The practical aspects and “how do I actually use the tools” will be addressed.
This is a hands-on session from a private practice therapist who regularly uses apps in his sessions. The presentation will cover several different app categories with 3-4 apps in each, including:
- Mood tracking
- Thought recording
- Coping skills (incl MoodMission, which is affiliated with presenter)
This is a free event for all AACBT members; bookings are only required for non-members to receive the link.
AACBT Members can access to the recording via My Account.
Viewers need only have a casual familiarity with using apps to get value from viewing this presentation.
