Gambling often co-occurs with other disorders and can be easy to miss in assessment. Find out the latest in gambling-specific CBT and how it can be integrated into broader treatment addressing comorbidities.

This workshop will be of great interest to clinicians who have ever had clients with, or are at risk of, gambling.

As a result of this workshop you will walk away with:

  • Skills in assessment of problematic gambling behaviour
  • An understanding of a number of diagnostic tools and how to use them
  • An understanding of the impact of, and attention to, problems that co-occur with gambling
  • An understanding of financial management and how it fits into treatment
  • Skills in the delivery of gambling-specific CBT – cognitive and exposure activities for gamblers
  • A framework for developing a gambling-specific treatment plan and considering how this might be integrated into a broader treatment plan addressing co-morbidities.

Dr Vale is an engaging speaker, using a mix of experiential and didactic learning methods, including the application of specific tools through both demonstration and role play, and the use of case studies.

Don’t miss this practical workshop with broad application across many clinical, health and counselling sectors.
