A three-day boot camp for dealing with challenging cases: Interventions, tools, and strategies for client engagement, anger, and antisociality

THREE-DAY WORKSHOP SERIES

Join CBT Australia and international author, Raymond Chip Tafrate, Ph.D., for 3-days of fast paced interactive learning that will provide you with the foundational knowledge and skills to better manage challenging cases.

These intensive 1-day workshops cover a range of clinical topics such as client engagement, managing dysregulated anger, and forensic CBT (for addressing antisocial and criminal patterns). The most efficient way to develop new skills is through practice — learning by doing. Therefore, all workshops in this series are highly interactive, incorporating structured learning activities that include audio-recorded work samples, video demonstrations, small group exercises, role-plays and “real”-plays. Most importantly, the goal is for you to be able to transfer and incorporate newly learned knowledge and skills into your real-world interactions.

Workshop 1: Engaging challenging cases: The essentials of motivational interviewing

Workshop 2: Critical issues in the conceptualisation and treatment of anger

Workshop 3: A forensic CBT primer: Interventions for antisocial and criminal behaviour

The workshops can be taken as a series or can stand alone.
