Clinical Governance is no longer optional.
Regulators, funders and governments want to know that our services are safe and high quality. How can we be compliant as well as successful in our businesses? Come along to our pub discussion and leave with some clear answers and next steps on your journey in private practice.
Governance (clinical & corporate) encompasses systems and processes that create safety, clinical effectiveness, manage risk and put the consumer of our services at the centre. If your practice as a business and organisation is not open and aware, then we can be a high risk to our clients as we can get stuck with the belief “this is how we do things around here”. It also means that we are constantly explaining to staff, clinicians and clients why we do what we do rather than having self-regulating systems that serve all. We will talk about ways of ensuring our clinical governance is effective and that there is a shared understanding of what success in our practices should look like over time.
